Probability.ClusterProbability: Cluster  

Definition

  • The target population is divided into naturally occurring segments (clusters) and a probability sample of the clusters is selected. Data are then collected from all units within each selected cluster. Sampling is often clustered by geography, or time period. Use this broader term if a more specific type of cluster sampling is not known or is difficult to identify.
